1.  How long have you lived in Hazelwood?  (Family)

We've lived here 2 and half years.

2. Where did you live before here?  (Family)

We lived in Lake Oswego before we moved here. Before that, we lived in Santa Barbara. Both Steve and I are from Northern California originally.

3. Interesting information about your children and/or pets.

Avery is 4 & a half and wants to be a Transformer when he grows up. Asher is 2 and wants to be Avery when he grows up and Carly (our dog) is 1 and wants to be human when she grows up.

4.  What's the best part of living in Hazelwood? (Adults & children)

The best part is the quiet sense of community; waving to neighbors, kids in the streets, the pool. It reminds both me and Steve of our humble roots.

5.  What's your favorite thing about living in Wilsonville?  Oregon?  (Adults & children)

I love that Steve works right in Wilsonville! Yay for 4 minute commutes! As for Oregon, the best part is the green. The trees and the walking paths and the beautiful scenery everywhere we look.

6.  Where did you grow up?  (Adults)

Steve was raised in Walnut Creek, Ca sometime back in the mid-1800s. I was raised in Half Moon Bay, Ca: Home of the World Famous Pumpkin Festival. Pumpkin ice cream rocks!

7.   What is your current occupation? (& past if interesting) (Adults)

Steve is an engineer at FLIR in Wilsonville. FLIR manufactures infra-red cameras for a variety of applications. You may have seen their Hummer driving around. I am a totally incredible full-time stay at home mom. I excel in finger-painting, board games, taking v.e.r.y.s.l.o.w walks and potty humor.

8.  What are your interests & hobbies?  (Adults & children)

Steve has the particularly awesome hobby of collecting full-size arcade games and restoring them. We have converted our formal dining room into his private arcade and his is usually found tinkering and cursing in there. He has been amassing his favorite games from his childhood. Our most recent additions are Paper Boy, Star Wars and 720. Personally, I like to garden, cook and sew. I am actually not entirely sure if I used to like those things or if I just like them now. I have a vague recollection of seeing movies and playing pool....

9.  What was your best vacation?  (Family)

Steve might have a different opinion, because we have taken several super-radical vacations together, but I think our honeymoon was the best. We had 2 weeks doing absolutely nothing in the Caribbean. Paradise.

10.  What is your favorite restaurant?  (Family)

The boys would undoubtedly say Safari Sams or some similar atrocity. We just tried Swagat and it was amazing. Maybe Thai Lhana in Sellwood.

11.  Do you have any famous, historical or notorious ancestors?

None. We like to build notoriety from the ground up.

12  Any other interesting information or things you would like us to know?

Steve and I are totally awesome people who totally hang out with our kids all the time. We're super funny, super smart and super humble. Need I say more?
